Dearest BNTU Stann Creek Branch Members:
Tremendous thanks to our Executives, School Reps, and other members who participated in the 56th Annual BNTU Convention. It was quite eventful and despite the challenges, we were able to benefit from the business meetings, cultural and sporting events, workshops, tours, and tokens that were provided to members during this event. This was the largest BNTU Convention in the history of the BNTU and Stann Creek Branch maintained its reputation for bringing numbers and being actively involved.
Congratulations to Brother Trizane Mejia who represented us well and placed 3rd in the first ever Mr. BNTU pageant. Thanks Sis Jean, Sis Stephanie, and Brother Elijah for your excellent support in preparing our candidate for the pageant. Job well done to all of you.ππΎππΎππΎ
Congrats to our volleyball team that also represented us well in the championship game and placed 2nd. Thanks to all team members, coaches, and Brother Albourne Marshall who represents us in the BNTU Youth Arm. We appreciate all your efforts in representing our branch, and doing so exceptionally. Thanks also to Mayor Robert Mariano and the Dangriga Town Council for donating to our team's jersey.
Thanks to the Education Committee for organizing the various workshops, and to Sis Kesha Reynolds Lopez for representing our branch in that committee. Many of our members benefit from these workshops and we are grateful.
A huge thank you to Turtle Inn and Digicell for their donations to our branch for Convention 2026. To all those who supported our fundraising activities, please know we greatly appreciate the support you gave to our branch.
Of course, a huge thank you to BNTU's office staff, National Executive, Council of Management, National President and the Belize Branch for hosting this historic Convention 2026.
Members, we begin preparations from now for Convention 2027 which will be in San Ignacio. Your unwavering support is key to our success as a branch. Stay tuned for our next fundraising and other branch activities as Education Week approaches. We will maintain this year's convention theme - BNTU: Standing resilient, building bridges, united for transformative change. Solidarity forever. π
