Stronger together, refreshed, and ready for what’s ahead! 🌴✨

Our Belize team recently gathered at Lodge at Jaguar Reef in Hopkins for an all-staff retreat. It was a powerful time of reflection, strategic alignment, and genuine fellowship to celebrate the impact of our programs and cast vision for the season ahead.

Behind every student mentored, teacher equipped, and family transformed is a team poured out with passion and dedication. Stepping away to rest, recharge, and reconnect along the coast reminds us why e do, and how grateful we are to serve side by side.

Thank you to our incredible PathLight family and supporters for walking alongside us! 💛

Pop quiz time! How many districts are in Belize? 🇧🇿📍

If you guessed 6 districts, you're spot on! The 6 official districts are Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize, Cayo, Stann Creek, and Toledo.

At PathLight, our mission is to see the entire nation transformed through education. That’s why our Teacher Training Program reaches educators across all 6 districts, equipping over 1,000 teachers annually to impact classrooms nationwide. To provide deep, wraparound care for scholars, we focus our physical learning centers in the 3 most populated districts: Orange Walk, Cayo, and Belize.

Have you ever visited Belize? Let us know in the comments! 👇

From little girls in primary school classrooms to confident high school graduates, mentors, and community leaders, when you invest in a girl's education, you shape the future of an entire nation. 💜

In honor of International Day of the Girl Child, PathLight celebrates the girls and women of Belize! Through our dual approach, we provide scholars with full financial sponsorship, academic support, and dedicated mentorship, while equipping educators with the professional training needed to support their classrooms.

When we equip educators and remove financial barriers for students, girls thrive.

A little Friday energy from our centers! 🏈 ♟️🃏

Every Friday, our students head to our afterschool centers for Club Day. Whether they’re joining Sports Club, Chess Club, Arts Club, or Debate Club, it’s a space filled with joy, creativity, and connection.

At PathLight, we believe education happens both inside and outside the classroom. Having regular opportunities for students to express themselves alongside peers who share their passions builds confidence, community, and lifelong leadership skills.

Shoutout to our amazing mentors, staff, and partners who work tirelessly to create spaces where Belizean youth can learn, grow, and shine! ✨

After completing their peer-helping training, our Impact Leaders took a special field trip to St. John’s Cathedral (the oldest Anglican cathedral in Central America) and the Museum of Belize!

This experience linked historical lessons directly to their roles as peer helpers. History reveals that while many people groups have endured significant hardships, collaboration and mutual support fosters resilience and paves the path forward.

Our high school seniors returned equipped not only to lead, but to listen, encourage, and connect their peers with the right support! 🌟

In the Leadership+ program at PathLight, high school seniors serve as Impact Leaders and take on the responsibility of mentoring younger students in the program. To equip them for this responsibility, the Department of Youth Services recently facilitated a "Peers with Purpose" workshop!

Students practiced core peer-helping skills through real-life scenarios:
🔹 The difference between peer helping and professional counselling
🔹 Basic helping and active listening skills
🔹 Confidentiality & knowing when to seek professional help
🔹 Healthy coping mechanisms

We are proud of our Impact Leaders stepping up to create safe, supportive spaces for their peers! 💙

For the past several months, our staff and students have been reading through the book of Ephesians and meditating on the riches of God's immense love.

Finishing this devotional series, we reflect on how our staff, mentors, and scholars embody Christ's love in action every day across Belize. When we receive God's love, it naturally flows outward to transform our communities.
