🌺The Salah: Your Direct Connection to Allah🪴

The salah is the direct line between the servant and his Lord. It is not merely a routine, it is a lifeline. So one should hasten towards it, guarding it with care and urgency. For indeed, the prayer is that which keeps a person morally upright, restrains him from evil, and serves as a means of purification from sins. It is a pathway that leads to Jannah.

Consider this: if a person were promised a billion dollars simply for being consistent upon something small, he would exert himself without hesitation. He would show discipline, commitment, and urgency. But what about a promise far greater than that?

What about Jannah (Paradise) “that which no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and has never crossed the heart of any human being”? It is greater than this entire world and everything within it. The one who enters it, even at the lowest level, will possess more than the greatest kings of this world combined.

So why would a person not strive for that which is everlasting? Why would he not seek to please his Creator, to establish the prayer, and to fill his life with righteous deeds?

There is no doubt that the one who establishes the prayer has upheld the most important bond in Islam—the bond between himself and his Lord.

And indeed, success is tied to this very act. As Allah says:

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ

“Successful indeed are the believers, those who are humble and focused in their prayer.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun)

And Allah also says:

حَافِظُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوَٰتِ وَٱلصَّلَاةِ ٱلْوُسْطَىٰ

“Guard strictly the prayers, especially the middle prayer.” (Surah Al-Baqarah)

So the salah is not just a part of success, it is from the greatest means to attain it.

The Meaning of Lā ilāha illallāh ☝🏻

Every Muslim utters the statement Lā ilāha illallāh numerous times a day, but it is important to pause and reflect: do we truly understand its meaning and requirements?

Lā ilāha illallāh means: There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.

This makes it both a rejection of all false gods and an affirmation of the sole right of Allah to be worshipped.

🚩The Pillars of Lā ilāha illallāh

Scholars mention that the statement has two main pillars:

❌Negation (nafī): rejecting everything that is worshipped besides Allah.

✅Affirmation (ithbāt): affirming worship exclusively for Allah.

Without both, the statement is incomplete.

🚩The Conditions of Lā ilāha illallāh

The scholars have outlined seven conditions that must be fulfilled for this statement to truly benefit a person. They are:

1️⃣ʿIlm (Knowledge): Knowing its meaning, negating all false deities and affirming Allah’s right to be worshipped.

2️⃣Yaqīn (Certainty): Having firm conviction in it without doubt.

3️⃣Qabūl (Acceptance): Accepting it inwardly and outwardly, without rejection.

4️⃣Inqiyād (Submission): Complying and submitting to what it necessitates.

5️⃣Ṣidq (Truthfulness): Saying it sincerely from the heart, not as hypocrisy.

6️⃣Ikhlāṣ (Sincerity): Devoting all worship purely to Allah, without shirk or showing off.

7️⃣Maḥabba (Love): Loving this statement, loving what it necessitates, and loving those who act upon it.

May Allah fill out hearts with Faith

Why Do We Teach Tawheed to Muslims?

Yes, the people may be Muslim by name or culture. But the pressing question is—do they truly understand Tawheed?

We must draw attention to this reality and emphasize the critical importance of Aqeedah—our belief system. Sadly, many among the Muslims today do not possess sound Aqeedah, despite their claim to faith. This issue is not one of semantics but of salvation.

If you were to ask a Christian, “Do you believe in one God?” they would answer, “Yes.” The same goes for the Magians, the Hindus who speak of a supreme being, and even the secular or spiritual-minded Sapiens of today—they often profess belief in one divine force. And if you were to ask the average person, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they too would likely say, “Allah.”

This is exactly what Allah says in the Qur’an:
“If you were to ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they would surely say, ‘Allah.’” (Surah Luqman, 31:25)

Yet despite this verbal affirmation, many still fall into shirk—whether major or minor—because they do not understand or live by the implications of La ilaha illa Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ emphasized the importance of correct belief. This is why the first and most fundamental knowledge in Islam is understanding the three essential questions—those that will be asked in the grave:
1. Who is your Lord? (Man Rabbuk?)
2. What is your religion? (Ma Deenuk?)
3. Who is your Prophet? (Man Nabiyyuk?)

If a person is unable to answer these questions, as mentioned in the hadith, then for them is punishment. But the one who answers correctly, due to knowledge and conviction followed by righteous deeds, for them will be eternal bliss.

Worship (‘Ibadah) is indeed central to our religion—but what value does worship have if it is not founded upon correct belief and understanding? The Christians engage in much action, in devotion and rituals, but their belief is built upon falsehood. Their sincerity does not save them, because their foundation is corrupt.

We too seek to fill our lives with ‘Ibadah, but above all, we must ensure that it rests upon the correct Aqeedah. This is what ultimately determines whether one is on the path to success or failure.

So let us begin with Tawheed. Let us teach it, revisit it, and internalize it—because it is the cornerstone of Islam, the essence of our existence, and the key to salvation.

Wa Allahu A‘lam.

Asalaamu alaikum! Peace and blessings upon you

Who is more important — God or His prophets?

For many Christians today, Jesus is seen as more important than God the Creator. His name is mentioned more frequently, and prayers are often directed through him. It’s as if the complete names and attributes of God have been stripped away and reassigned to Jesus.

But is that truly what Jesus (peace be upon him) taught?

No — this is not the message of Jesus himself, but rather the teachings developed by the Church, which few have been willing to question.

So what did Jesus actually tell the people?

Mark 10:17–18 — “Why do you call me good?”
“And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, ‘Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’
And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’”

John 17:3 — “You, the only true God”
“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

Yes, Jesus never clearly claimed divinity in the way the Church later defined it. The idea of Jesus being fully divine — equal to God — was not his explicit teaching, but rather a theological development that evolved over time, primarily shaped by the Councils of Nicaea and Constantinople.

So who are you going to believe, the church or Jesus?

If you believe that Jesus was not more than a servant of God then you’re on your way to Islam.

Asalaamu alaikum

Five times a day, Muslims gather in prayer, turning to the Creator of the Universe in humility and devotion. In each prayer, we recite Surah Al-Fatiha, earnestly asking Allah for guidance to remain steadfast upon the Straight Path and seeking His forgiveness for our sins and shortcomings.

During prostration—the most humbling act of worship—we place the most honored part of our body, the forehead, upon the ground, declaring: “Subhana Rabbiyal A‘la” (“Glory is to Allah, the Most High”).

I thank Allah for the gift of Islam, for it is He alone who guides whom He wills.

If you are curious about Islam, ask a Muslim. We welcome your questions with sincerity and open hearts.

Islam is not a religion based on personalities or those who merely carry little knowledge.

It is a religion founded upon divine revelation — the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

True guidance is not measured by fame or influence, but by adherence to the truth.
Those who truly carry the truth will always direct you back to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

So do not attach yourself to individuals who claim to call to the truth — Rather, cling to the truth itself, and judge those who call to it by the standard of the truth. The truth is the criterion — not personalities.

Allah the Most High said: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided.” (Surah Aal ‘Imran 3:103)
The “rope of Allah” is the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.

As we approach the end of time, the Prophet ﷺ foretold that holding onto the rope of Allah will become as difficult as holding onto a burning coal.

So do not be surprised by the challenges, nor swayed by distractions or personalities. Stay firm, stay sincere, and hold tightly to the straight path.

Asalaamu alaikum
May the peace of Allah be with you

Whenever I witness someone engaged in something noble—whether it’s reading a book, standing in prayer, demonstrating good character, or performing virtuous deeds—it stirs within me a deeper desire to better myself.

Surround yourself with those who are constantly striving for goodness, for as the saying goes: “You are the fourth of your closest companions.” Let their light kindle your own.

Islam is a monotheistic religion revealed by God (Allah in Arabic) to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) more than 1400 years ago.

It means submission to the will of God and obedience to His commands with sincerity and staying away from associating false gods to the Creator (shirk).

At its core, Islam teaches:

Belief in One God (Allah), who is merciful, just, and all-powerful.
Belief in prophets sent by God, like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, who is the final messenger.
Belief in holy books, especially the Qur’an, which Muslims believe is the final and unchanged word of God.
Belief in angels, who are God’s creation tasked with specific duties.
Belief in the Day of Judgment, where everyone will be held accountable for their deeds.
Belief in divine decree (God’s plan and control over everything).

Muslims live by the Five Pillars of Islam:

Shahada (Declaration of Faith)
Salah (Prayer, five times a day)
Zakah (Charity to the needy)
Sawm (Fasting during Ramadan)
Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca, if able)

Islam is established on Tawheed (Oneness of The Creator) and emphasizes values like mercy, justice, honesty, respect, compassion, and striving for peace within oneself and with others.
