Inno'on - La oh

In October of 2016 a group of twelve individual congregated together behind the bookstore at the University of Belize with the urge to find their cultural identity but instead created a mission to preserve the Maya culture. Through this club, Mayas will become visible in the tertiary education system whilst being inclusive allowing others to join as member to learn about the Mayas of Belize. Since 2016 we have proposed our by laws to the university for approval, with an executive body comprising of two faculty staff as associates and eleven executive members. We have since made connection with the Garifuna Wagiya club, who have allowed us to participate in previous event. In 2017 we have plans set in place for members and non members to enjoy the Maya Culture and what it has to offer. We are still a young club, who will strive to promote everything Maya!
