Grace. Heritage. Legacy. 🇧🇿✨

Representing beauty with purpose, Miss Afrikan Queen 2026, Angela Flowers, was honored to attend the Official Emancipation Day Ceremony at the House of Culture in Belize City on Saturday.

Following the ceremony, Angela had the distinct privilege of meeting Assad Shoman, Ambassador Shabazz, and many distinguished leaders at the communal breakfast, an inspiring opportunity to connect with individuals who continue to contribute to Belize's rich national story.

Reflecting on the occasion, Angela shared that she was deeply moved by the powerful messages, vibrant cultural performances, and overwhelming sense of unity that defined the celebration. She expressed heartfelt gratitude for the invitation to witness and celebrate a day that honors the courage, resilience, and enduring legacy of our ancestors.

"Emancipation is more than a moment in history—it is a living reminder to walk boldly in our purpose, celebrate our identity, and inspire future generations to lead with courage, dignity, and pride."

Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a brighter future for Belize. 🇧🇿👑

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our sister and committee member, Evalee Skeen.

Evalee served on the Concerned Belizean Women committee with quiet strength, dedication, and a deep love for her community. Her work and voice helped shape the work we do, and her commitment to uplifting Belizean women and families will not be forgotten.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength.

Rest well, Evalee. Your legacy lives on in the work we continue.

To Dorren August of JDX Lighting— thank you for lighting up the Miss Afrikan Queen 2026 stage!

You didn’t just set up lights. You set the mood, elevated the look, and made every moment on stage shine. Because of you, our Queens glowed, our heritage popped, and our photos turned into memories we will treasure forever.

You truly made a difference in the end product. Amazing stage. Amazing photos. Amazing memories.

We appreciate you!

THANK YOU Opal Charlene for THE INNER GLOW AWARD 💛✨

The *Opal's Inner Glow Award* reminds us that true beauty starts with character. This award is special because it’s chosen by the delegates themselves — for the one Queen who stayed friendly, kind, helpful and compassionate through every rehearsal, every long night, every moment.
Congrats Theresa Elijio!

Organics by Opal - Opal's Glow thank you for honoring what matters most: being nice, being kind, and lifting each other up. You help us celebrate more than crowns — you celebrate heart.
