Our Story

(Providing Youth, and Marginalized Communities with Productive Activities, that increase Education, and Leadership Opportunities) (Project Achievables – Objectives, and Sustainability). This Youth – Initiative will endeavor to achieve its objectives, by building a culture of effectively engaging At-Risk Youth in Primary – Schools, and reaching – out to those who are not attending school within their communities . The National Youth Engagement & Empowerment Initiative, expect to utilize this “funding” from CARSI, once selected, and approved, in the capacity as its “principal – funding,” to spear – head its Youth out – reach, mentoring, and educational programs. Our Youth Initiative, will definitely require “financial assistance,” for initial operational efforts, there-after, the “Youth Initiative’ expect to endeavor to raise additional – funding, by lobbying Central Government of Belize, and other International Donor – Agencies, including CARSI, as we expect our ‘Youth Initiative” to yield tangible results in the first, and second Year of our (2) Years operations. This Youth – Initiative will encourage At-Risk Youth, to graduate High – School, with targeted emphasis, focusing on improving their lives, and well-being. The Youth – Initiative, will actively engage Regular, and At-Risk Youth, advising, educating, and mentoring them, regarding the ”perils” of Street – Life, Violence, and Death, if they refuse to attend School, and engage in Apprentice – Programs, for Life – Skills Development. The Youth – Initiative will focus special emphasis on communities that have high rates of Poverty, Crime, Unemployment, and Teen – Parenthood. The National Youth Engagement & Empowerment Initiative, will ‘mentor’ At-Risk Youth, while reaching out to those Young – Adults on the Streets, especially in the main hub of the Deadly – Violence, which is South Side Belize City, where we experience ( 3 to 4) Murders per week. The Youth – Initiative, will ‘mentor’ in the areas of Education importance, (Finishing High School), Abstention from Violence, Life – Skills Development, and Familial Relationships. We will encourage At-Risk Youth, in the ‘consciousness’ of community – awareness, and giving back to their community, while emphasizing to them, that nothing is free in life. The Youth – Initiative, is NOT promising to STOP ‘crime,’ in its tracks so to speak; but to interface with At-Risk Youth, and act as an Intermediary for them to help them, between choosing a Life of Crime/Violence or leading a responsible, and productive life; while not being vulnerable to seasoned Gang – Leaders, who see them as un-suspecting “recruits” to enlist in Violent – Gang activities. Our objective, and mission is; to “facilitate” our At-Risk Youth, in encouraging them positively, and to act as a spring – board for them in partnership, along-side local, and international agencies, with meaningful agendas for reduction of “Violence” in Belize, and safer Neighborhoods, and streets, for our People, and Country. ________________________________________________________________ *Empowering our Youth in Self – Sustainability, which will Engender Harmony, & a Positive Thought - Process:
