What ignorance and sheer nerve: 😡😡😡
We up here haven't had any water since 1:30 p.m. The people responsible simply aren't pumping enough, and our children will be going to school tomorrow without a chance to take a shower!.

A day like today would be the perfect opportunity to make a little service to the people from Arenal.
Families are home - a rainy Sunday, and we did not have electricity from 1 pm till 2 pm.
Belize Electricity Limited sent technicians to restore power, even if it was Sunday. Thank you very much.
The Arenal Water board till this moment did not restore the water supply - it is 7.30pm now.

It would have been nice to provide the village with a service. Instead we always turn it into an issue "I can" - "I gave the power" - I want only if I want, but actually I do not want"
This is very sad and very disappointing!

Thank you to BEL for restoring our eletricity as fast as possible! Great service

It is NEVER too late.
Shahid - c'mon - it is not too late to turn the car around.
If we would work together, we could really reach something valuable for Arenal.
- We could apply for a solar system for our water pump from the European Union
- We could try to get funds for a kids playground for our kids
- We could try to get funds for a basketball court for the young people in Arenal
- And we could try to find an investor to built a wind generatior plant on the properties of Arenal - maybe a bit back in the mountains
- And maybe you have more ideas???

We could reach a lot of things if we jjust would connect with the needs of the village. So - Shahid - a new vision for Arenal - let's do it! Come and see us and let us discuss very open without blaming each others!

This is very, very sad. The losers of this missing payments are the kids and their parents. Thousands of parents had to pay, 10, 15 or even 20$ per day in taxis for the kids - some kids have not been sent to school, because it's simply too expensive, and this only, because the government failed to pay the bus owners in time. But it is also very sad, that the bus owners used the most innocent in this story - the kids, to force the government to pay. All involved parties should be ashamed. People have to fight so very hard with all the increased prices and horrible transportation cost - and you, the government and the bus owners make their position even worse - instead of helping to lower the pain 🥲🥲🥲🥲

STATEMENT: Resumption of School Transportation Services

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology hereby advises that school bus transportation has resumed in the affected districts and services have returned to normal.

The Ministry thanks parents, students, teachers, principals and school bus contractors for their patience, understanding and cooperation while the new contract payments were being processed.

The MoECST remains committed to ensuring that students and teachers can travel safely and reliably to schools.
