A Happy Mouth is a Happy Life

In celebration of the recent World Oral Health Day observation, we found it fitting to focus on our learners’ smiles! At Camphill Community Trust Botswana, caring for our students goes beyond the classroom, it’s about nurturing their overall well-being.

As part of our oral health outreach, we are deeply thankful to Dental Group for choosing Camphill to extend their services out of the goodness of their hearts. They brought their care directly to our learners by checking their oral health, washing their teeth, providing toothpaste and brush packs & educating both learners and parents on how to support healthy, happy smiles at home.

Seeing our learners’ faces light up with clean, cared-for teeth reminded us why our mission to support, nurture, and empower, is so important. Healthy habits today build confident, thriving learners tomorrow.

A heartfelt thank you to Dental Group for helping us make oral care joyful and meaningful!

World Down Syndrome Day 2026 – Together Against Loneliness.

Loneliness is more than just a feeling, it is a serious health issue that affects people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, and their families. It can lead to anxiety, depression, and even physical harm, often caused by stigma and social exclusion.

At Camphill Community Trust Botswana, we believe no one should face life alone. Every smile, every conversation, and every shared moment helps break the barriers of loneliness.

This WDSD, you’ll see many of us wearing bright, mismatched socks, a simple but powerful symbol. Just like these socks, every person is unique. Differences make us stronger, more vibrant, and more connected. Wearing them shows that we celebrate diversity, stand against exclusion, and choose inclusion.

Let us walk together against loneliness, for friendship, understanding, and love. 💛💙

Celebrating Neurodiversity Week!

This week, we join the global effort to promote awareness and inclusion of neurodiversity. It’s a time to recognize and celebrate the neurodiverse community, individuals with developmental and learning differences such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, cognitive variations and other neurological differences.

Each person brings unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of experiencing the world.

At Camphill Community Trust Botswana we see ability beyond labels. We believe every individual has something valuable to contribute and are committed to creating a supportive environment where everyone can grow, connect, and thrive.

Our community is built on inclusion, dignity, and respect. Differences are not just accepted, they are embraced as an essential part of who we are.

Let’s continue to promote understanding and acceptance, create spaces where everyone belongs and lastly to celebrate each person’s unique journey.
