Love Botswana Outreach Mission is pleased to continue its partnership with Mural Supply Co. for the Visual Epiphany & Okavango Arts Exchange as the initiative returns to Maun in 2026.

At Love Botswana, we believe that meaningful community transformation happens through collaboration. This partnership has brought together artists, educators, young people, and community members in ways that encourage creativity, cultural exchange, and positive engagement.

One of the highlights of last year's collaboration was the creation of a vibrant public mural in Maun, a beautiful example of what can happen when local and international creatives come together to share skills, stories, and inspiration. The mural continues to stand as a reminder of the power of art to transform spaces and bring communities together.

We are grateful to be part of a growing network of organisations and individuals committed to creating opportunities for learning, connection, and community impact through the arts.

We look forward to supporting another year of collaboration and celebrating the creativity, talent, and cultural richness that make our communities unique.

At the height of the HIV & AIDS pandemic, Botswana stood at a crossroads. Under the leadership of former President Festus Mogae, the nation took bold and compassionate steps that helped define one of Africa’s most respected public health responses to HIV. His administration prioritised access to treatment, strengthened national systems, and placed human dignity at the centre of the response.

From this national HIV response, strong prevention messaging began to shape how communities engaged young people around behaviour change, responsibility, and informed decision-making. In alignment with this crucial national response, as Love Botswana, we introduced the Reach 4 Life programme [which was already running in South Africa] as part of a wider life skills response for young people.

Through Reach 4 Life, young people in Maun and surrounding areas have been empowered for close to 20 years with life skills to prevent HIV & AIDS, make informed choices, and build healthier futures. The programme builds on those prevention messages, encouraging abstinence, faithfulness, and commitment to Christ, while equipping young people with practical life skills to make responsible decisions.

That legacy continues to shape our work today.

Today, we join the nation in mourning his passing. We honour his extraordinary leadership during the HIV & AIDS crisis and his lifelong commitment to public service.

We extend heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and the nation.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Sometimes a workday under a tree, with you colleagues, playing boardgames is exactly what’s needed. Last week’s Wellness Day created space to pause, reflect, and discuss professionalism, attitude, and personal branding. It was a simple but meaningful opportunity to think deeply about our personal growth and the goals we are working towards.

Love Botswana was proud to be part of Beacon of Health’s first Kids Wellness Day in Maun, creating a safe and engaging space for children to learn about their health.

As part of the day, Love Botswana set up an engagement stall and our Youth Facilitator and Counsellor, Ms Kgato Mokgwathi, delivered a clear and powerful message on the dangers of to***co use, equipping children with knowledge to make healthier choices early in life.

Because protecting the future starts with educating the present.

This time during the past Camp SuperH.E.R.O, our Metro World Child team delivered a deeply important message to the children: “Don’t doubt how God created you.”

In today’s climate, where children are constantly exposed to comparison, bullying, body shaming, and questions around identity and self-worth, this is not just a lesson from last camp, but a message we can’t help but remember today. Many young people are growing up carrying silent questions about their worth, their bodies, and whether they truly belong.

Speaking into that space, we focused on truth that grounds them: every child is created with purpose. Psalm 139:13 reminds us, “You are the One who put me together inside my mother’s body.”

Through storytelling, object lessons, and open reflection, the children were encouraged to reject labels that diminish their value and to understand that they are not mistakes, but intentionally formed by God.

The session created space for healing, identity-building, and honest conversation about mental health, diversity, and self-worth.

The reminder remains clear: Don’t doubt how God created you. You are created. You are known. You are loved.
