Reach4Life in Shakawe is Still Going Strong!

Our latest Reach4Life club session brought together 19 disciples for a time of fellowship, growth and leadership development.

We were especially encouraged by Student ‘Lazzo’, who shared his testimony of navigating difficulties and turmoil during his school journey, recognising that it was only by God’s grace that he made it through. His desire to join the Reach4Life club is a reminder of how God continues to lead young people towards His Word and a community that encourages growth and positive change.

The impact of Reach4Life continues to be evident as club members step into leadership roles within their school’s student leadership structures. The election of club leaders also creates opportunities for students to take responsibility, serve others and put the lessons they learn into practice.

We celebrate every life being shaped through God’s Word and our programmes, and every young person discovering faith, purpose and the courage to lead.

The Maun Trade Expo became more than a showcase of products and services as Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Tiroeaone Ntsima, walked through more than 100 exhibitors’ stalls, engaging directly with entrepreneurs and getting a first-hand look at Botswana’s growing small-business sector.

Moving from stall to stall, Ntsima interacted with exhibitors, listened to their business stories and explored the products and ideas being presented at the expo. His visit also provided an opportunity to reflect on a bigger question, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝.

Speaking while engaging exhibitors at the Ministry’s stall, Ntsima called for more beneficiaries of the Wealth Creation Programme, administered through the Department of Entrepreneurial Development, to graduate from small-scale businesses into larger enterprises. He said the success of the programme should not only be measured by the number of people receiving support, but also by how many entrepreneurs are able to grow, expand their operations and ultimately create jobs for others.

Ntsima urged the Department of Entrepreneurial Development to strengthen mechanisms that help beneficiaries progress beyond the start-up stage, arguing that entrepreneurs should be supported throughout their growth journey. The Minister’s walk through the Maun Trade Expo offered a practical picture of the entrepreneurial ambitions of Batswana, from emerging businesses displaying their first products to established entrepreneurs looking for opportunities to expand.

For many exhibitors, the Minister’s visit was also an opportunity to place their businesses directly before government and demonstrate what local entrepreneurs can offer. The Maun Trade Expo therefore served not only as a marketplace, but as a meeting point between government policy, entrepreneurship and the aspirations

Investing in the community we serve.

For the second year, Love Botswana Outreach Mission was proud to support this creative initiative, partnering with Mural Supply Co., The Visual Epiphany and the to bring international and local artists together right here in Maun.

At Love Botswana, we recognise the role that creativity, culture and shared public spaces can play in strengthening communities. Supporting initiatives such as the is an opportunity to contribute to the development of Maun beyond our programmes, while encouraging collaboration, creativity and community pride.

Throughout the exchange, artists transformed familiar spaces with murals at Maun Kgotla, Maun Educational Park, Dusty Donkey Cafe and The Life Centre, bringing art, colour and new stories into spaces used and enjoyed by the community.

The artists also generously donated their time and talent to Lorato House Rescue Centre creating murals especially for the children. Beyond adding colour to their surroundings, the experience allowed the children to engage with the creative process, leaving behind memories as meaningful as the art itself.

This is why partnerships like this matter. They bring different organisations, artists and communities together to make a meaningful contribution to the places and people around us.

We are grateful to Mural Supply Co., The Visual Epiphany and the for another meaningful year of partnership and for leaving a lasting mark on Maun.

INTERNATIONAL WEEK OF DEAF PEOPLE 2026

This week, we celebrate the Deaf community, their voices, talents and contributions.

Through our Deaf Heart Programme, Love Botswana works alongside Deaf people to break down barriers and create greater access to opportunity and support. From employment opportunities and sign-language interpreting to counselling, advocacy and support for Deaf children and families, Deaf Heart helps make inclusion practical and meaningful.

Because inclusion is more than being welcomed. It is having access, opportunity and a voice.

Today and throughout this week, we celebrate our Deaf Heart team and the Deaf community across Botswana. 🇧🇼🤟

Our Metro World Child team had the honour of joining Kubung Primary School for a motivational talk with the Standard 7 class as they prepare for their final PSLE examinations.

Kubung Primary School is one of the schools where Love Botswana Outreach Mission, through its Metro World Child programme, regularly reaches and engages children, encouraging them to grow in confidence, character and purpose.

It was a privilege to stand alongside teachers and parents to encourage the candidates to believe in themselves, stay focused and give their best as they approach this important milestone.
