MISSION As an organization our vision is to have a healthy and well-informed nation on issues pertaining to the health and wellness of our people, we want to be a nation that is free from HIV & AIDS, tuberculosis, cancer, diabetes amongst other diseases. VISION Renale Seabe exists to provide relevant and accurate information to Batswana at large which can prompt them to make well-informed decisions that are applicable to the prevention or conservation of their healthy livelihood on daily basis.

What is breast cancer?

Breast cancer is a disease where cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. Most breast cancers start in the milk ducts or milk-producing lobules.

Who does it affect?
Breast cancer can affect both men and women causing an estimated 694 000 deaths globally in 2024.

How can you check for it?

Know what is normal for your breasts and pay attention to changes. Possible warning signs include:

* A new lump in the breast or armpit
* Swelling or thickening
* Change in breast size or shape
* Skin dimpling or irritation
* Red, flaky, or thickened skin
* A ni**le that pulls inward
* Unusual ni**le discharge, including blood
* Persistent breast or ni**le pain

Don’t wait for a screening appointment if you notice a new or unusual breast change. Tell a healthcare professional so they can evaluate it. Most breast lumps and changes are not cancer, but they should still be checked.
