We are honoured to welcome Baitshepi Edith Hill as one of our keynote speakers. A visionary environmental leader with over 25 years of experience, she currently serves as Botswana’s Director of Forestry and Range Resources and as the National Focal Point for UNCCD, UNFF, and CITES Flora.

From driving landmark policy reforms to reducing degraded land in Botswana from 36% to 17% through integrated land and wildfire management, her work is shaping more resilient landscapes and communities. Internationally respected and regionally influential, she continues to champion inclusive governance, climate adaptation, and sustainable development — including her current leadership in advancing the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP26).

✨ We can’t wait to learn from her insight, leadership, and vision for the future of conservation.
