Churches, organizations, companies and homes are filled with women who are hiding behind a mask. Every day, no matter what we go through, we put on our MASKS. We cover up the imperfections we see in ourselves. When we look in the mirror we see what we are not, and we try to fix it. We are constantly primping and prodding, aiming for perfection and the absence of fault. By doing this we prevent the
very essence of who we are from being seen. Where is the person you remember before molestation, before daddy left or before mama died, before the money or before friends? What goes on inside of that brain of yours? Much of our time is spent shielding and protecting what remains of our core being. We have allowed circumstances to hurt us so much that we withdraw deeper and deeper within ourselves. With every offense, a part of who we are fades away and is ultimately forgotten. Hiding Behind the mask is an empowering event reaching and impacting women from all demographics and walks of life. The women that attend these events are hungry for continual growth and enrichment, see faith as the center of their lives, and have a burning desire to be a better person. The Hiding Behind the mask events are housed in a loving and accepting environment of truth and honesty where women are challenged to reflect on who they really are and what they present to the world. If change is needed in a personal life, thought process and relationship with God, this experience is perfect. Women desire to be accepted for who they are. However, many of us are afraid of showing our true selves. In a society that praises beauty, accomplishment, and wealth, it seems we will never be good enough unless we appear to have it all
