Since its inception, Guardian Angels Botswana Society (GABS) has been working to protect the rights of the most marginalized groups in our society and to combat social ills, such as GBV, Alcohol & Drugs, HIV/AIDS and other health problems. To identify the Orphans and Vulnerable Children and the disadvantaged youth, empower them with life survival skills, mobilize them through business initiatives

and where possible link them with the relevant others for them to be able to be self-reliant. To empower young single mothers with entrepreneurial skills to enable them to start their own small self-sustaining projects that could help them support themselves and their families.

We are pleased to share a heartfelt gesture of generosity from the
Leo Club, who recently donated essential toiletries for our newborns. This meaningful contribution comes at an important time, as we continue to provide care and support for the youngest members of our community.

The donated items will play a vital role in ensuring that our newborn babies receive proper hygiene and comfort during their early days. Such support not only meets immediate needs but also brings hope and reassurance to the families we serve.

What started as a simple visit became something truly meaningful. Though they are still young, the students from Livingstone Kolobeng College, Block 8 Campus, showed that a big heart matters more than anything donating food and blankets to 10 families in Bontleng and bringing comfort, relief, and dignity into their homes.

For the children, it was a day filled with laughter, games, and shared snacks moments that sparked joy, built confidence, and reminded them they are cared for. For the families, it was not just support, but a powerful reminder that kindness still lives in the community.

Their generosity proves that you’re never too small to make a big difference.

DID YOU KNOW THAT BULLYING DOES MORE THAN JUST HURT FEELINGS?

Bullying can lead to serious effects such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and poor academic performance. Studies show that about 1 in 3 learners experience bullying, yet many suffer in silence.

During our recent outreach at Bontleng Primary School, we educated learners about the impact of bullying and encouraged them to stand up, speak out, and support one another. The session highlighted the importance of kindness, respect, and creating a safe school environment for everyone.

Together, we can end bullying and build a culture of care and inclusion.
