Today our Executive Director Junior Molefe warmly welcomed Betway Botswana to our offices in Gaborone for the official handover of a generous donation from the Betway Metshameko Charity Drive. We are deeply grateful to Betway and to the players and community members who nominated Men for Health and Gender Justice Organisation during the Metshameko Drive a nationwide initiative that channels community nominations and player contributions into support for local causes.

The Metshameko Charity Drive brought together players, communities, and corporate partners to raise funds through collective giving and community nominations, amplifying grassroots priorities and directing resources where they are most needed. This partnership demonstrates how private sector initiatives can uplift civil society and strengthen community-led solutions.

This donation will significantly strengthen our operations and expand our flagship 90 Minutes: Men Sexual Health and Mental Health programme. With these resources we will:

Scale community sessions that position men as leaders of change in the fight against gender based violence , Increase access to SRHR services and create safe spaces for men to seek care , Drive conversations and awareness on Hepatitis and prevention,Boost men’s engagement in EMTCT efforts to protect mothers, babies, and families.

Men for Health and Gender Justice Organization is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Mr. Thatayotlhe Junior Molefe , is attending the World Hepatitis Summit 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

This landmark event, held under the theme “Elimination for Everyone, Everywhere, Right Now!”, convenes global leaders, policymakers, civil society, and advocates to accelerate progress toward eliminating viral hepatitis by 2030.

Mr. Molefe’s participation represents a significant step forward for our organization. By engaging in this global dialogue, we are strengthening our capacity to integrate hepatitis prevention, treatment, and awareness into our broader health and gender justice programming. This new area of work will allow us to:

Expand our impact by addressing hepatitis as a critical public health issue.

Champion equity and inclusion by ensuring marginalized communities have access to information and services.

Forge partnerships with international organizations and networks committed to hepatitis elimination.

We are excited to bring these learnings back to our communities, advancing our mission to promote health and gender justice for all.
