๐Ÿผ Choosing to Keep the Conversation Going

This Tuesday, weโ€™re choosing to spotlight an important conversation from World Breastfeeding Week 2026.

The dialogue brought stakeholders together to explore the acceptability of donor human milk in Botswana, barriers to accessing human milk for infants born to mothers living with HIV, and how lactation support can be strengthened across hospitals, communities and workplaces.

Because better support for breastfeeding families starts with conversation, collaboration and action. ๐Ÿ’™

The event was sponsored by the Botswana Society for Lactation Consultants, with support from BUP staff and La Leche League Botswana volunteers.

This Tuesday, we choose to keep the conversation moving.

Botswana-UPenn Partnership, in collaboration with the University of Botswana_Official, Stockton University, and the University of Pennsylvania, brought together clinicians, researchers, and partners at Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital Auditorium for a powerful conversation on cancer care in Botswana.

From the impact of cancer nationally, to the role of rehabilitation and palliative care in survivorship, the session reaffirmed one truth: quality of life matters as much as length of life.

Grateful to every speaker, partner, and attendee who showed up for this important dialogue. ๐Ÿ’œ
