GBF wishes all a great and reflectory International World Book and Copyright Day. In Botswana the theme is ‘Indigenous Languages:Read your way.’This reflects aptly on the threat of the disappearance of indigenous languages in Botswana. There is an urgent need to protect and promote indigenous languages. Internationally, the theme translates to UNESCO’s theme to promote multilingual learning materials, which directly promotes literacy and cultural diversity.
The GBF children’s anthology Setlhare Sa Learogi’s is freely available and downloadable on our website. It has Setswana short stories. Download, read and share with children and everyone who enjoys reading. Enjoy!!
