Jhpiego Botswana continues to support efforts to strengthen HIV prevention, treatment, and community awareness across the country.
One important message is U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable).
Here’s what that means: 💙👇
When a person living with HIV takes their treatment every day as prescribed, the amount of virus in their body can become so low that standard blood tests cannot detect it. This is called being “undetectable.” People who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load cannot sexually transmit HIV to their partners. That means zero risk of sexual transmission.
Jhpiego Botswana continues to support progress in the fight against HIV through community engagement, treatment support, and awareness efforts. Ending stigma, encouraging treatment adherence, and supporting one another remain key to achieving healthier communities. Treatment works, helping people live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives.💙
