Organization of Wildlife Victims Welfare was established on the 6th December 2013 through registrar of Societies as a Non Government Organization of Certificate number CR10890. WHY FOUNDED
It was establishment as a wakeup call following the accident that took place during Independence celebrations 2013 in which a mother was killed by crocodiles while swimming, leaving traumatized chil
dren who witnessed the accident. VISION
To be the leading organization that takes care and provide welfare to victims of wild animals in Botswana. To educate the public and make Botswana a safe place for all. MISSION
Organization of Wildlife Victims Welfare is a national family making a difference in the lives of people who were victimized by animals in Botswana
OBJECTIVES
The objects of the Organization are:
To reduce deaths or injuries caused by wild animals and increase safety in wildlife areas by conducting public education. To provide counselling services to surviving victims and dependants. To provide material or monetary assistance to bereaved individuals. To sensitize the public about the importance of obeying all signs while in tourism areas. To preserve the dignity of the Tourism Industry around the country. SERVICES
