Society Of Road Safety Ambassador(SORSA)as a member of Ghanzi Road Safety Committee was part of the team that welcomed cyclists in Kacgae and and Also handed them to Namibia at an event dubbed "CYCLING FOR THE TRANS KALAHARI CORRIDOR (TKC)". Cyclists from the 3 member states being Botswana, South Africa and Namibia, are from Rustenburg through Botswana to Namibia, where they are expected to arrive on the 29th April in Walvisbay. The theme for the event is "Transforming the TKC into an economic corridor".

Road traffic crash statistics obtained from Botswana Police Service indicates that cumulative deaths from January 1st 2023 to Sunday 10 December 2023, stood at 347 due to road traffic crashes!. Let's use the road responsively to avoid these unnecessary deaths. Play your part this festive season to save lives.

Today is World Bicycle Day
World Bicycle Day is celebrated every year on June 3. The day aims at developing a culture of cycling for basic transportation, commutation, and strengthening physical and mental health.

In the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety, young people demand that cities be kept safe for cyclist and other road users, and that road safety and sustainable mobility must be prioritized.
