BOFWA aspires for every Motswana to have “CHOICE FOR A HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE FAMILY” now and beyond. BOFWA believing that knowledge of s*xual and reproductive health and access to a broad range of services is a fundamental human right; and that a balance between the population of the world and its natural resources and productivity is a necessary condition of human happiness, prosperity and peace
, has the following objectives:
(a) to advocate for the basic human right of all women, men and young people to make free and informed choices regarding their own s*xual and reproductive health, and for the means to exercise this right;
(b) to strive to meet the needs of the under-served, the poor and young people for s*xual and reproductive health information and services;
(c) to facilitate access, either by direct provision or referral, to s*xual and reproductive health information, education and services regardless of age, s*x, marital status, ability to pay, ethnic origin, political and religious belief, disability, s*xual orientation or any other factor that could make an individual the object of discrimination;
(e) to ensure that services offered by the Association or other agencies are provided in a non-coercive manner, without the use of incentives or disincentives of any kind and no service is conditional upon the acceptance of another; and
(f) to co-operate to the fullest degree possible with governmental, non-governmental and international agencies in the ex*****on of its s*xual and reproductive health mandate.
