Poor adherence to topical ophthalmic medicine can be as a result of failure to appropriately use by patients.

To appropriately apply your medicine patients should do the following;

* Wash and dry your hands, make sure to shake the bottle if it’s a suspension.

* Use your forefinger to pull down your lower eyelid to form a pocket to receive the drop.

* Hold the medicine bottle between the thumb and fingers with the hand braces against your cheek or nose and head held upwards.

* Place the dropper over the eye while looking at the tip of the bottle, look up and place the drop in the eye.

* Gently close your eyelid for 5 minutes (do not squeeze or rub).

* Close the bottle and store as instructed.

Spread and create awareness about Glaucoma, which is one of the causes of blindness.

Today is World Obesity Day

Obesity is a chronic complex disease defined by excessive fat deposits that can impair health. Obesity can lead to increased risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease, it can affect bone health and reproduction, it increases the risk of certain cancers. Obesity influences the quality of living, such as sleeping or moving.

An individual is considered obese if their BMI is greater than or equal to 30.

How to prevent and manage obesity?

* Avoid sedentary behaviors
* Limit consumption of sugar sweetened beverages and energy-dense foods
*Enjoy a healthy life (healthy diet, physical activity, sleep duration and quality, avoid to***co and alcohol, emotional self-regulation)
*Increase consumption of fruit and vegetables
*Engage in regular physical activity.
*Limit screen time
