Subject: 2nd Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (KMC)
We are absolutely delighted to announce another exciting opportunity to participate in the 2nd Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (KMC). This globally celebrated competition brings together over 6 million young mathematics enthusiasts from 109 countries around the world for a moment of fun, challenge, and intellectual adventure. Learners will once again be exposed to intriguing mathematics problems that embraces creativity and imagination beyond the routine classroom maths.
Who can participate? Kangaroo maths is for everyone and open to all public and private schools in the categories of Primary (Level 1 – Standard 1, 2 & 3, Level 2 - Standard 4 & 5, Level 3 – Standard 6 & 7) and Secondary (Level 4 - Form 1 & 2, Level 5 – Form 3 & 4, Level 6 – Form 5 & A-level. The competition is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all students, from budding mathematicians to those looking to try something new.
Why should learners participate?

How to register? Mathematics Coordinators, should first register their details and that of their schools on https://botswana.cuttle.org/admin/ , the coordinators can then register their students for the contest upon approval. The schools will this year have the opportunity to do the contest ONLINE, OFFLINE or BOTH, the platform will allow schools to register as many students as possible. More details and the instructional manual will be shared with registered schools. However, schools should also complete and email the Entry forms to [email protected].
The 2nd KMC should be administered in all schools across the country and globally on Thursday, 20th March 2025. Let us make this event a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning Mathematics.
