Today, Botswana joins the world in celebrating International Youth Day under the theme: β€œπƒπ’πŸπŸπžπ«πžπ§π­ π‚π¨π§π­πžπ±π­π¬, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 π€π¬π©π’π«πšπ­π’π¨π§π¬.”

Young people may come from different backgrounds and face different realities, but they share common hopes, a chance to be heard, access opportunities and contribute meaningfully to national development.

As we close Pride Month, we reflect on the conversations that continue to shape our community. LGBTQ+ experiences are diverse and that includes conversations around men’s mental health, vulnerability, identity and belonging.

Since 2020, through our Open Hands initiative, we have worked to create spaces of support, dignity, and connection. Today, that journey continues as we explore new ways of reaching and supporting our community through innovation and technology (Mobile App).

Pride is more than a month, it is a continued conversation. πŸ’™
