BOCA Attends the Launch of Hatshe-Lentle Multipurpose Cooperative Limited

Today, the Vice Chairperson of the Botswana Cooperative Association (BOCA), Mr Molosiwa, attended the launch of Hatshe-Lentle Multipurpose Cooperative Limited, a cooperative established to advance agribusiness, create employment opportunities, and improve the livelihoods of people in the Goodhope-Mathethe area.

According to the cooperative’s Chairperson, Mr Mooketsa Basutli, the cooperative will focus on grain production, pig farming, small stock, and morogo production, with distribution centres planned to improve market access and strengthen value chains.

BOCA applauds this initiative and remains committed to supporting cooperatives across Botswana. Through such community-driven enterprises, the cooperative movement continues to create jobs, promote economic empowerment, and bring sustainable development closer to the people.

Together, we are taking cooperatives to the people and building stronger communities through cooperation.

Congratulations to Mr. Macloud Malonza on his election as President of International Cooperative Alliance - Africa during the Regional Assembly in Maputo, Mozambique! 🇲🇿

Mr. Malonza assumes the presidency having served as Vice President of the ICA-Africa Board and, more recently, as Acting President following the untimely passing of the late High Chief Ayeola Oriyomi.

We look forward to your leadership as we continue strengthening the cooperative movement in Africa.
