Today, BOFABONETHA, in collaboration with the Department of Building and Maintenance – Bobonong, hosted a Men's Wellness Activity under the theme, "Promoting Men's Health & Wellness."

The initiative brought together participants to engage in meaningful discussions on issues affecting men's health, including Gender-Based Violence (GBV), HIV testing and treatment adherence, and the importance of seeking support and making informed health decisions.

BOFABONETHA remains committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, raising awareness, and creating safe spaces where important conversations can take place. Through partnerships and community engagement, we continue to encourage positive action towards improved health and well-being.

We thank all our partners, facilitators, and participants for making today's event a success.

Together, we are building healthier men, stronger families, and more resilient communities.

What if the greatest sermon is not preached from the pulpit, but lived in the community?

BOFABONETHA was privileged to attend the FGAC Pastors' Annual General Meeting, where church leaders gathered to reflect, learn, and strengthen their commitment to serving God and their communities.

During the meeting, Rev. Machakga Moruakgomo shared a powerful message, reminding leaders that the Church should not be confined to its four walls or be limited to what happens from the pulpit. Instead, the Church should be evident in the community through meaningful action that transforms lives and responds to the needs of the people.

This call speaks directly to the role of the Church in promoting health and well-being. By embracing health education, wellness initiatives, disease prevention, and community outreach, churches can make a meaningful impact in the lives of the people they serve.

When the Church steps beyond its premises and into the lives of people, it becomes a true instrument of hope, healing, and transformation.

Together, let us build healthier communities by being the Church wherever people need us most.

BOFABONETHA Wellness and Outreach continues to make a meaningful impact by taking health services directly to the workplace.

This week, we reached men at the A3 Road Construction Sites and MP Mining, recording the highest number of men screened for HIV and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in a single gathering over the past three years.

Our outreach services included:
✅ HIV testing
✅ Hypertension screening
✅ Diabetes screening
✅ STI screening
✅ Gender-Based Violence screening
✅ Mental health screening
✅ BMI assessments
✅ Cancer screening for women

By bringing these essential services closer to where people work, we are promoting early detection, prevention, and healthier communities.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and to our dedicated team for making this outreach a success. Together, we are making healthcare more accessible—one workplace at a time.

Faith communities take an active part in health.

Health doesn’t only happen in hospitals and clinics. It happens where people gather. Where trust already exists. Where families turn when life gets hard.

When faith communities step into health, they do more than share messages. They create safety. They break silence around illness. They remind people they are not alone. They turn faith into action — through support, education, and care for the most vulnerable.

This is what happens when belief meets action. When communities decide that caring for the body is part of caring for the spirit.

This is your call:
As a faith community leader, you already have the trust, the voice, and the people. Health is your space too. Start the conversation. Open the door. Partner with health workers. Be part of the solution.

📸 GALLERY DROP: ST. BERNADETTE 10KM FUN RUN

This past Saturday, Bofabonetha showed up and answered the call to serve. We were grateful for the chance to set up a stall and connect with everyone who came through.

From the first step to the finish line, the energy was all about faith, fitness, and fellowship. Events like this remind us how faith communities and health go hand in hand — caring for our bodies while we uplift our spirits.

We loved sharing the space with other organizations and meeting members of the community face-to-face.

Swipe through this gallery to catch some of our favorite moments from the day.

To everyone who visited our stall and shared a laugh, thank you for making it special and to those who didn't get a chance, our doors are always open.

Here’s to more days like this: moving together, serving together, stronger in faith and wellness.

Pitso ya BoRre, Makau le Basimane

The Botswana Defence Force in partnership with BOFABONETHA brought men together this morning for a powerful pitso under the theme:

“Discipline Beyond Duty; Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence.”

In a time when Botswana continues to face rising cases of Gender Based Violence, this pitso could not be more important. Our nation needs men who choose responsibility over silence, protection over violence, and discipline beyond the call of duty, not only in uniform but in their homes, communities, and relationships.

For the BDF, leadership starts with character. And today’s gathering reminds us that the fight against GBV begins with us Borre le Makau standing up, speaking out, and choosing a better path for our country.

This gathering is not just a meeting, it is a call to action. A reminder that real strength shows in how we lead at home, in our communities, and in how we treat the women and girls around us.

Men. Fathers. Brothers. Leaders.
Tshireletso e simolola ka rona Borre a re emeng ka botshepegi.

Let’s choose discipline.
Let’s choose respect.
Let’s choose a Botswana free from GBV.

Halala Borre Halala✊🏽
