Drug-Free is a New Cool Organisation successfully hosted a week-long substance use awareness campaign programme at Shakawe Senior Secondary School, aimed at strengthening awareness, prevention, and education on substance abuse among learners and teachers.
From Monday to Thursday, the programme focused on capacity building sessions for both teachers and students, equipping them with knowledge and practical tools to better understand and address substance use in schools and communities. All activities were centred on unpacking knowledge and understanding of substance use.
On Friday, students took the lead through a school awareness campaign featuring panel discussions, quizzes centred on sharing and checking knowledge of students on substance use
The programme concluded on Saturday with a community march against drug abuse. Area MP Honourable Kapinga served as the Chief Walker and was later joined by the Chief of Shakawe. The march brought together students, youth groups, local leaders, and law enforcement in a powerful united stand for a drug-free society.
Also thank Shakawe senior for the great partnership and our sponsors and donors, Morula Capital partners, New Era College, Blue Cross Botswana and individual donors.
Together, we continue to say: Drug Free is the New Cool
