2024 World Hearing Day themed

“Changing mindsets:Let’s make ear and hearing care a reality for all!”

Hearing loss impacts every aspect of life, leading to challenges with social interaction, mental health, and even cognitive function. Early identification and intervention are key to minimising these risks.

Some of the controls to lower noise exposure in the workplace include
- Procurement of low noise emitting equipment
- Scheduled maintenance of equipment
- Medical surveillance
- Installing sound absorbing materials on noisy equipment
- Education and training to equipment users
