On Sunday evening, 17 May 2026, H.E. received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the Principal, teachers, faculty members, students, and local community of Gonpa Singmo Middle Secondary School. As part of the traditional reception, H.E. was offered Marchang in a beautiful welcome ceremony.
Later in the evening, H.E., as always, began the session by sharing profound teachings on “Who is Buddha Manjushri?” H.E. explained that Buddha Manjushri is not only the embodiment of wisdom but also regarded as the greatest mathematician ever to appear in this world. Through sincere prayers and devotion to Buddha Manjushri, one can dispel ignorance, sharpen intelligence, and expand knowledge and understanding.
H.E. also advised the students to become “useful and productive human beings” by staying away from negative influences and harmful substances that destroy one’s inner strength and future. H.E. reminded everyone to remain mindful of peer pressure and to carefully choose good friends and positive companions in life.
The session concluded with beautiful songs and cultural dances offered to H.E. as a gesture of gratitude, respect, and appreciation. H.E. also graciously bestowed the Lung (oral transmission) of Guru Rinpoche prayers, Mani, and Jampelyang prayers, followed by individual blessings for students, parents, teachers, and local devotees.
Although it was already late in the evening, upon the request of the school faculty, H.E. kindly blessed the entire school compound by visiting every structure, including the boys’ and girls’ hostels, library, kitchen, offices, classrooms, and dormitories. This was done to offer prayers and blessings for the wellbeing of the students, especially as some had reportedly fallen sick from time to time due to negative spiritual disturbances.
We would like to sincerely thank the school Principal, teachers, staff, students, and local community for their warm reception, hospitality, and wonderful arrangements made for H.E.’s visit.
May all beings be blessed with wisdom, peace, good health, and harmony.
