Pema Lhamo | Folk/Classical Dance Instructor 😍🥳🤩

Royal Academy of Performing Arts Senior Instructor and vocalist Pema Lhamo is one of Bhutan’s distinguished artists in traditional folk and classical music, specializing in Boedra and Zhungdra. With more than 15 years of experience in the performing arts, she has earned widespread recognition for her dedication to preserving and promoting Bhutanese musical heritage.

She joined RAPA in 2002 as a trainee artist and, through years of commitment and excellence, rose to become a Senior Instructor in folk and classical dance and music. Renowned for her soulful renditions of traditional songs, Pema Lhamo has performed at numerous prestigious national events, including the Royal Wedding celebrations in 2011.

Her artistic excellence was further recognized when she received the Best Playback Singer Award at the 11th National Film Awards in 2010. Beyond Bhutan, she has proudly represented the country in several international cultural exchange programs, including performances in Germany in 2002 and Japan in 2016, showcasing Bhutanese culture and music on global platforms.
