The Integrated De-suung Training Programme is values based personal development program, with the aim of encouraging active citizenry in the wider role of nation building and actively engaging in various volunteer initiatives during and post disaster relief operations. The training program will also include various lectures and interactive learning exercises in life skills and leadership management. The underlying premise of the training is built upon the spirit of ‘volunteerism’, and the need to reinforce ethical standards and also to cultivate values of community service, integrity and civic responsibility.

Paro Teacher Desuup Coordination Meeting
14th September 2026

A meaningful evening of coordination and commitment, with 75 Teacher Desuups from various schools under Paro Dzongkhag coming together yesterday with Desuung Headquarters.

The meeting was held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, ensuring that their regular teaching duties and classes were not disrupted. The main purpose of the meeting was to bring Teacher Desuups together and discuss how they can contribute meaningfully as volunteers while ensuring that their regular school duties are not disturbed.

We are grateful for their dedication, commitment, and continued service beyond the classroom. In addition, we also explored how Teacher Desuups can voluntarily contribute to supporting students and assisting with school-related activities and management. An appointment of focal person to represent Desuup in various school was successful.

Thank you, President, and the management of Paro College of Education, for kindly allowing us to use your state-of-the-art lecture theatre for our programme.

Desuung Headquarters Update

Desuung Headquarters conducted a meeting with Desuups of Kabisa, Kawang Gewog (North Thimphu) as part of its ongoing initiative to strengthen the Desuup network at the community level.

The meeting focused on updating and verifying the Desuup database, facilitating registration, strengthening communication through a local WhatsApp group, and appointing area coordinators to enhance coordination.

Discussions also emphasized the vital role of Desuups in responding to disasters, supporting national events, and serving communities in times of need. The initiative aims to build a stronger, more connected, and responsive volunteer network, ensuring Desuups remain prepared with dedication and unity in times of need.
