The Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) hosted a farewell event on the evening of 10th April 2026 in honour of the outgoing Chief Executive Officers of Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan (RICB) and National Pension and Provident Fund (NPPF).
The event brought together Chief Executive Officers from all FIAB member institutions. The gathering served as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contributions and leadership demonstrated by the outgoing CEOs during their tenure.
In their respective roles, both leaders have played a significant part in strengthening their institutions and contributing to the overall development of Bhutan’s financial sector. The evening was marked by warm interactions, reflections, and expressions of gratitude. All the CEOs conveyed their best wishes to the outgoing CEOs for their future endeavours, while also acknowledging their lasting impact on the institutions they led.
FIAB extends its sincere appreciation to the outgoing leaders for their service and wishes them continued success in their future pursuits.

The Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) convened a sacred recitation of the Kanjur at the historic Simtokha Dzong on the auspicious 15th day of the Bhutanese calendar, corresponding to April 1, 2026. The ceremony was held to invoke blessings for the well-being of FIAB member financial service providers and their employees, as well as for the peace, prosperity, and harmony of the nation, while removing obstacles.

The event was attended by Chief Executive Officers and representatives of FIAB’s member institutions, along with officials from the FIAB Secretariat. The ceremony featured traditional rituals, the recitation of the Kanjur, and the offering of a thousand butter lamps - acts believed to generate merit, purify negativities, and bring about peace and success.

12.03.2026 The Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB), represented by the CEOs of its member financial institutions, offered Tashi Khadar to Mr. Dorji Kadin on the occasion of his appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer of T Bank Ltd.

FIAB is delighted to welcome Mr. Dorji Kadin back to the FIAB fraternity after a brief pause. Mr. Kadin previously served as the CEO of the Bank of Bhutan and also as the President of FIAB, during which he made significant contributions to the association and the financial sector.

The FIAB family extends its heartfelt congratulations and wishes him every success in his new role.

FIAB hosted a farewell dinner in honour of the outgoing CEO of T Bank Ltd., Mr. Pema Tshering, on the evening of 4th March 2026. The event was attended by CEOs of member financial institutions, who gathered to acknowledge his leadership and contributions to the banking sector.

During the gathering, members expressed their appreciation for Mr. Pema Tshering’s dedicated service and his role in strengthening collaboration among financial institutions. They also conveyed their best wishes for his future endeavours.

"FIAB Bids Farewell to the Outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Druk PNB Bank Ltd" On December 25, 2025, the Financial Institutions Association of Bhutan (FIAB) organized a special farewell lunch in honour of Mr. Vijay Kumar, the outgoing Chief Executive Officer of Druk PNB Bank Ltd.
In the absence of the FIAB President, the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan, Mr. Karma, presented a memento to Mr. Vijay Kumar on behalf of FIAB. He expressed FIAB’s heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Vijay’s dedicated leadership at Druk PNB Bank and his valuable contributions to the collective growth and development of Bhutan’s financial sector. Mr. Vijay was wished good health, happiness, and continued success as he returns to India to embark on the next phase of his life and career.
On the same occasion, Mr. Karma warmly welcomed the incoming Chief Executive Officer of Druk PNB Bank Ltd, Mrs. K Meera Bai, to the FIAB fraternity and conveyed FIAB’s commitment to working closely with her in the days ahead.
