🌟 Summer Youth Engagement Program 2026 Successfully Concludes! 🌟

The Summer Youth Engagement Program (SYEP) 2026, organized by RENEW Community Service Center, Trashigang in collaboration with Trashigang Youth Center and Y-PEER Sherubtse, successfully concluded on 4 July 2026.

Over three enriching days, 53 participants (25 girls and 28 boys), including DAISAN members and Peer Helpers from Trashigang Middle Secondary School, came together to learn, share, and grow through interactive sessions, creative activities, group discussions, and team-building exercises.

📌 Day 1: Program orientation, introduction to RENEW services, and Child Online Protection, where participants learned about online safety, digital privacy, cyberbullying, responsible social media use, and how to seek help when facing online risks.

📌 Day 2: Sessions on Understanding Oneself, Power Walk, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) encouraged self-awareness, empathy, inclusion, and informed decision-making while promoting healthy attitudes and breaking myths around puberty and menstruation.

📌 Day 3: Discussions on Unintended Pregnancy, ICPD, Consent, and Healthy Relationships helped participants understand the importance of respect, communication, personal boundaries, shared responsibility, and making informed choices.

Throughout the program, participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm, creativity, teamwork, and a genuine eagerness to learn. Their active participation made the program meaningful, engaging, and rewarding.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the youth participants for their energy, curiosity, and commitment throughout the program. We also sincerely thank our volunteers, collaborating partners, and especially Mr. Namgay Wangchuk and Mr. Robin Rai from Sherubtse Y-Peer Network for their invaluable support, dedication, and facilitation in making this program a success.

Together, we continue to empower young people with knowledge, confidence, and life skills for a healthier, safer, and brighter future. 💙

Sensitization Program on SGBV & SRHR | Thrimshing Gewog

RENEW CSC Trashigang successfully conducted a sensitization program on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) at Thrimshing Gewog. 🧡

The session focused on raising awareness about the prevention of SGBV, promoting respect and gender equality, and empowering community members with knowledge of their sexual and reproductive health rights. Through interactive discussions and the sharing of information, participants were encouraged to recognize the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and supportive communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Thrimshing gewog administration and the Trashigang Dzongkhag Administration for their unwavering support and collaboration. We also sincerely thank all the participants for their active engagement, thoughtful contributions, and meaningful discussions that made the program a success.

Together, we are taking meaningful steps toward building a safer, more informed, and respectful community where everyone can live with dignity, free from violence and discrimination. 💬👥

On 28th May 2026, RENEW CSC Trashigang, in partnership with Thekchog Kunzang Choden Nunnery, marked Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 by engaging nuns in meaningful discussions on menstrual health and hygiene. 🌸

Under the theme “Together For A ”, the initiative highlighted the importance of awareness, dignity, and ending the stigma around menstruation.

Let’s continue building a world where every girl and woman feels informed, supported, and confident. 💜
