Taju Primary School is observing Reading Week under the theme “Literacy for People, Planet and Prosperity.” The initiative aims to cultivate a lifelong reading habit among young learners, guided by the belief that “The child who reads is an adult who thinks.”
A variety of engaging reading activities have been planned and implemented throughout the week to make reading joyful, meaningful, and purposeful. These activities encourage students to view reading not merely as an academic requirement, but as an essential skill for understanding themselves, their communities, and the wider world.
As part of the celebration, each class has prepared reading promotion posters to motivate students to become active and enthusiastic readers. The displays feature simple yet meaningful messages, including:
