Successful Completion of the Women’s Knitting Training Program

July 11, 2026, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Women’s knitting Training Program, facilitated by one of our CBSS member Mrs. Soma Tamang. A total of 12 participants joined the training, which provided them with practical knitting skills and hands-on learning opportunities over the course of 6 day’s training.

Throughout the training, participants demonstrated dedication, patience, and creativity as they learned the knitting techniques and produced a homemade knitted basket. During the closing session, participants proudly showcased their beautiful hand-made knitted basket, highlighting the skills and progress they had achieved throughout the training.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our volunteer trainer Mrs. Soma Tamang for generously sharing her knowledge and skills, and to all the participants for their enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation throughout the training.

Women’s Knitting Training Begins Today! 🧶

We are delighted to announce the start of our 6 days Women’s Knitting Training Program today, facilitated by one of our MSTF-CBSS member Mrs. Soma Tamang. A total of 12 participants has joined the training to gain basic knitting skills and learn the techniques of knitting.

This training is designed to help participants develop practical knitting skills, encourage creativity, and create opportunities for income generation and self-reliance. Over the coming week, participants will learn various knitting techniques in a supportive and engaging environment.

We wish all the trainees a productive, enjoyable, and successful learning journey. May this training inspire new skills, confidence, and opportunities for every participant.

Closing of the Summer Youth Engagement Program 2026

July 4th, 2026, we successfully concluded our Summer Youth Engagement Program, bringing together our young participants for three days of learning, creativity, and teamwork.

The final day featured a storytelling photography challenge, where participants worked together in teams to capture meaningful photographs that conveyed powerful stories, emotions, and showcase their creativity. Through creativity and visual storytelling, the young and energetic participants demonstrated their ability to communicate meaningful messages of hope and nature using a single powerful image. The session concluded with gallery walk and presentation, allowing each team to share their creativity, and messages behind the photographs.

The closing ceremony was graced by lieutenant Pem Dorji of RBP, Gelephu, as the chief guest, who awarded the completion, and best storytelling photography certificates to the participants and encouraged them to continue learning and embrace positive values.

Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm, creativity, and active participation. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of the program.

Together, we remain committed to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create positive change in their communities.

Day 2 Highlights

Day 2 of the Summer Youth Engagement Program focused on promoting awareness on bullying, emotional and mental wellbeing through various activities including, creating of anti-bully slogan, case studies, educational videos and playing of various games to engage the participants.

Day 1 highlights

The summer youth engagement program official began today, the first three fun day of learning, teamwork, and creativity!

Participants from classes VIII-X joined us with great excitement, enthusiasm, and engaged themselves in various team building and creativity activities.

Today, we had the privilege of making a courtesy visit to the SSP Nima Tshering of Gelephu police department. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen relationship.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the police department for their warm reception and hospitality. We look forward to continued cooperation and shared commitment to the wellbeing of our community

A fun and interactive event for youth filled with exciting and engaging activities, where children will connect with various and interesting individuals from 2nd July-4th July, 2026 [Time 9am-3pm].

All the participants will be awarded with certificates at end of the program.

Today, we had the pleasure of warmly welcoming our new recruited center manager and case manager by the MSTF-CBSS members. We are delighted to have these young and enthusiastic individuals join our team and look forward to working together for the betterment of our community.

As part of today’s program, we also paid courtesy visit to the gelephu referral hospital superintendent Dr. Choda Gyeltshen to introduce our new member.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us today and wish our new members a fulfilling and meaningful journey ahead.
