π₯ Fire Safety Starts with a Plan π₯
House fires and wildfires can happen quickly and without warning β especially during dry summer months. Being prepared can make all the difference.
Here are a few important tips to keep your household safe:
πͺ Have an Evacuation Plan:
Make sure every family member knows how to get out of the house quickly and safely. Practice your plan regularly β even just once a year makes a big difference.
π Know Your Exits:
Keep doorways and windows clear, and ensure everyone knows where the closest exits are in every room.
π§― Check Your Smoke Detectors:
Test them monthly and replace batteries at least once a year. A working smoke alarm saves lives.
π Create a Fire Safety Kit:
Include essentials like a flashlight, water, first aid items, and copies of important documents. Store it somewhere easy to grab in case of emergency.
π Stay Aware:
Never leave open flames unattended, and unplug appliances when not in use.
Letβs protect what matters most β our families, our homes, and our communities. π
