๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ณโจ๐ฝ๏ธ Our Spring 2026 Introduction to Culinary Arts cohort recently completed their Final Practical Assessment Dinner at the CTI-HITS Campus in Harbour Island! ๐ด๐
During the evening, students worked in teams to present both Jamaican-inspired๐ฅ and French-inspired๐ฅ menus in a mock restaurant setting, serving CTI principals, donors, and board members.๐ดโจ The dinner marked the culmination of 10 weeks of intensive hands-on training and showcased the creativity, professionalism, and culinary skills they developed throughout the course ๐๐ฝ๐
๐๐ Our Introduction to Culinary Arts course equips students with foundational knowledge and practical experience needed for entry-level positions in the culinary field. ๐จ๐ฝโ๐ณ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐ณ Students gain hands-on training in safe food handling ๐งผ, food preparation fundamentals ๐ฅ, basic cooking and baking techniques ๐๐ฐ, and the preparation of sauces, soups, and savouries. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ช
