✨ Books Build Better Futures and strong communities help make that possible. πŸ“š

Join us for our September Club Meeting as we welcome Chantal Deveaux, the 2025 National Literacy Teacher of the Year and Bahamas Literacy Association Member, for an important conversation on:

β€œBooks Build Better Futures: The Community’s Role in Literacy.”

Literacy is more than learning to read; it is a foundation for opportunity, confidence, education, and a brighter future. As Rotarians and members of our community, we all have a role to play in helping to build a culture where literacy can thrive.

🀝 More Fellowship. More Connection. More Change.

What happens when we build stronger relationships within Rotary? We create stronger teams, stronger partnerships, and ultimately, more impactful service projects. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Join the Rotary Club of Old Fort for our upcoming club meeting as we welcome Patrice G. Taylor, CEO of Hephzibah HR Training & Development, who will lead a conversation on:

β€œMore Fellowship, More Change: How Building Strong Relationships Within Rotary Can Enhance the Effectiveness of Service Projects.”

Because service isn’t just about what we do β€” it’s also about who we do it with. When we connect, collaborate, and build genuine fellowship, we create a stronger foundation for lasting impact in our communities.

Last night, we were thrilled to host our first meeting of Membership & New Club Development Month at the Rotary Club of Old Fort!

One of the greatest joys of Rotary is welcoming visitors, and we were delighted to have several guests join us to experience the fellowship, service, and fun that make our club so special. We hope they enjoyed their evening with us!

Our evening started off with an engaging Job Talk from Sherniqua Sturrup, who gave us a fascinating look into her role as an Incentive Group Planner with Island Destination Services, sharing the exciting world of planning unforgettable group experiences.

Our Membership Chair, Daneisha Clarke, had the room buzzing with excitement as she unveiled the lineup of activities planned for Membership Month. She introduced our newly formed club teams, their names and team leads, and encouraged everyone to start earning points as we gear up for our highly anticipated Amazing Race Social later this month. The competition is officially on!

The heart of the evening came from PAG Deidree Bain-Toote, whose inspiring presentation, β€œIf Not Us, Then Who?”, challenged us to reflect on why we joined Rotary. While each of us may have found our way to Rotary through different paths, we are united by one shared purpose: to make the world a better place. Her message reminded us that we are each called to serve, using our unique talents and skills to uplift one another, strengthen our communities, and create lasting impact through Service Above Self.

To close out another fantastic evening, we held our weekly raffle, with IPP O’Neil Bain taking home the night’s prize. Congratulations!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can’t wait to welcome our members and guests back for another evening of fellowship, inspiration, and service at our next meeting.
