This week, the Rotary Club of Old Fort was pleased to welcome members of the Rotary Club of Nassau for a special Fellowship Month joint meeting focused on connection, collaboration, and friendship.

Through engaging networking activities and meaningful conversations, members had the opportunity to get to know one another on a deeper level, share experiences, and build relationships beyond our individual clubs. By the end of the evening, new connections had been formed, ideas had been exchanged, and the spirit of Rotary fellowship was stronger than ever.

Events like these serve as a wonderful reminder of one of the questions in Rotary’s Four-Way Test: “Will it build goodwill and better friendships?” The answer was a resounding yes.

Fellowship is at the heart of Rotary, and evenings like this demonstrate the value of coming together, strengthening relationships, and building connections that extend across clubs and throughout our community.

Thank you to our friends from the Rotary Club of Nassau for joining us and helping make the evening such a memorable celebration of fellowship.

What an incredible week for the Rotary Club of Old Fort!

As part of our Heart Safe Bahamas initiative, we were proud to donate two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) this week; one to Uriah McPhee Primary School and another to A.F. Adderley Junior High School.

Creating a heart-safe Bahamas has been a key priority for our club this Rotary year, and we are honored to be making a meaningful impact throughout our communities. Through the donation of AEDs across New Providence and our CPR training events in both Nassau and Grand Bahama, we are helping to equip more Bahamians with the tools and knowledge needed to save lives.

At Rotary, we believe in uniting for good, and we are incredibly proud to support initiatives that strengthen the health and safety of our nation.

Together, we’re building a safer, stronger, and more prepared Bahamas; one community at a time.

Last night, we gathered for the Rotary Club of Old Fort’s final Club Assembly of the Rotary year, reflecting on the incredible work accomplished by our committees and the impact we’ve made together.

One of the things we love most about these meetings is learning about the projects happening across the club. Even when you’re not directly involved in every initiative, it’s inspiring to see how each committee contributes to a bigger mission of serving our community.

Hearing the Community Service Committee’s report was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to make a difference. From AED installations and CPR training through HeartSafe Bahamas, to literacy programs, STEM Saturdays, support for cancer patients through Hope Start, environmental cleanups, and helping families during the holidays, the impact of this year’s work has reached thousands of lives across The Bahamas.

Service is never the work of one person. It’s the result of a community of people choosing to care, choosing to show up, and choosing to make a difference.

Grateful to be part of a club that continues to put Service Above Self into action every day. 💙💛

Last night, the Rotary Club of Old Fort gathered for another impactful meeting as we continued to celebrate Youth Services Month.

We were privileged to hear from Diveane Bowe, Chairman of Junior Achievement Bahamas, who spoke under the theme: “Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”

His passion for the mission of Junior Achievement was truly infectious, and his message served as a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in and empowering our young people. Through guidance, opportunity, and mentorship, we help shape the leaders of tomorrow.

It was a fantastic meeting and a meaningful way to wrap up Youth Services Month. Thank you, Diveane, for inspiring us all!
