WATER SAFETY VIDEO!!! As we prepare for Back-to-School in The Bahamas, hundreds—if not thousands—of our children still do not know how to swim. We live on an island surrounded by water. Equipping our children with the lifesaving skill of knowing how to swim is not just our passion—it is our priority.

Let’s Swim Bahamas is a learn-to-swim program founded by Andy and Nancy Knowles and launched in 2008. The program primarily serves government-run primary schools, providing free swimming instruction to students enrolled in the program.

It’s been a great year! Thank you to our partners for their continued support.

Highlights include:

- registrations up by 15%
- overall, more than 8000 Bahamian children have received free swimming lessons with Let’s Swim Bahamas
- 14 primary schools enrolled with a goal to add 6 new schools by January 2027 (total 20 schools)
- addition of a new purpose built Learn-to-Swim pool at Mount Moriah community center
- building resilience through our partnership with Royal Bahamas Defence Force, ensuring a professional and reliable coaching team.
