As I get older, I am learning that all of my senses matter.
Rest is not always found in silence or stillness. Sometimes it is created through stimulation, engagement and meaningful interaction—experienced in multiple ways, all at once.
That was the intention behind the Rest & Rosé Tea Party: to create an atmosphere where every corner invited our guests to relax, indulge and pour something back into themselves.
🌹 We delighted the eyes with beautiful colors, roses, thoughtful details and spaces designed to feel warm and inviting.
🎷 We engaged the ears with the live R&B and hip-hop sounds of Antonio Gatlin of Saxy Entertainment.
☕ We treated the taste buds with our custom tea bar, delicious snacks and special treats waiting throughout the room.
🌸 We awakened the sense of smell through the interactive Zen Well Scent Bar with Dr. Nikki Brooks Seevers, where guests explored fragrances and created scents that reflected their personal preferences.
💆🏽♀️ We cared for the body through touch with Lakisha McGaney-Osei of I Touch Soles and Tavaris Seldon of Healing Hands Massage. Samantha Leigh Aesthetics extended that care through skin consultations that reminded us that touch also includes being intentional about how we care for the skin we live in every day.
And while the five senses were being cared for, ShanNeece Alberts poured into our minds and spirits through Life by Design: The LIFE Framework, reminding us that we do not have to simply react to life—we can intentionally design it.
That is what Rest & Rosé was about: creating enough space to breathe, connect, receive and enjoy without rushing from one thing to the next.
Thank you to every sponsor and vendor who poured into the vision—and to every attendee who showed up and allowed herself to indulge in every treat, service and experience tucked into each corner of the room.
Until we pour again.🥂
