The New Bahamas Diabetes Association along with Healthy Bahamas Coalition and The Ministry of Health & Wellness Bahamas presents Kids With Diabetes Summer Camp coming June 30th to July 4th for a fun-filled, educational week consisting of an exciting schedule of arts and crafts, games, field trips and so much more!!!!!

Did I mention that it’s totally FREE!!!

- FREE to ALL children living with diabetes in The Bahamas.

What time does the camp start and end daily?
- The camp’s schedule will be from Monday to Friday (June 30th-July 4th) from 9am to 1pm.

How many spots are available?
- The camp’s capacity is limited to 50 participants to ensure a minimum 5:1 ratio of children to healthcare professionals and volunteers.

Is there a deadline?
- Yes, registration is scheduled to close on June 27, 2025 at 11:59pm. So register today to secure your child’s reservation!
*Extended sibling deadline: June 27, 2025*

Will food be provided?
- Yes, a diabetes appropriate snack and lunch will be provided daily and free of charge.

The Bahamas Diabetes Association’s Wellness Program is in its 6th week of classes!! The BDA has covered Medication, Nutrition, Exercise, Diabetes Basics, and Diabetes Self-Management Education so far. We have 3 weeks remaining….

This Thursday, June 5th, we will discuss Reducing Risks with a special emphasis on foot care 🦶, preventing major complications, eye care, and monitoring labs.

The Diabetes Wellness Program is happening today at 6:30pm at Anglican Church Of The Epiphany - Bahamas!!!! Come on out and get your baseline screening done. Registration will be on-site as well to accommodate everyone!!!
