At the Rotary Club of South East Nassau, one thing we absolutely love is COMMUNITY SERVICE! 💙💛

Whether we’re serving through our own club or showing up to support our fellow Rotary Clubs, we believe service is always better together. Yesterday Service Saturday continued with our very own Rotarian Kelly where she joined the Rotary Club of East Nassau for their Beach Cleanup & Family Fun Day at Adelaide Beach—helping to clean our coastline, protect our environment, and enjoy some Rotary fellowship along the way! 🌊🌴♻️

🌟 Why I Joined Rotary: Azaleta Ishmael-Newry 🌟

Nearly 31 years ago, I made the decision to join Rotary because I believed in the power of service, fellowship, and making a meaningful difference in the community. As Azaleta puts it, “it only made sense” to become part of an organization whose values aligned so closely with her own.

Over the years, that decision has opened the door to meaningful friendships, opportunities to serve, unforgettable experiences, and the chance to contribute to something bigger than myself.

Today, I proudly serve as the Public Image Director of the Rotary Club of South East Nassau, helping to share our club’s story and showcase the impact of the work we do in our community.

I am also honored to be a great club historian, preserving the stories, milestones, achievements, and memories that have shaped our club over the years. Our history reminds us of how far we’ve come and inspires us to continue creating lasting impact.

After almost 31 years, I’m still proud to be a Rotarian and grateful for the journey. 💙💛

💙💛 WE DID IT! SERVICE SATURDAY WAS A SUCCESS! 🙌🏽🎉

Today, the Rotary Club of South East Nassau completed our Annual Breakfast Feeding & Back-to-School Initiative at All Saint’s Camp! 🎒📚🍎

We showed up, served up, and gave back!

From providing a hearty breakfast to distributing school supplies, today was all about nourishing young minds, encouraging our youth, and helping them get ready to take on the new school year with confidence. 💙💛

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible Rotarians, Rotaractors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who helped make today possible. Your time, energy, generosity, and commitment to Service Above Self made a real impact! 🙌🏽👏🏽

Today we celebrate a true Rotary leader! As Past President, Rochelle Wilkinson has been part of the RCSEN family since September 2001. Nearly 25 years of dedicated selfless service! While she may not always be in the spotlight, PP Rochelle is often working quietly in the background, supporting our club’s endeavors in ways that don’t go unnoticed by those who know her true impact. Her legacy includes designations as a Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, and Sustaining Member. A real testament to her lasting commitment to Rotary’s mission. As we celebrate our club’s 50th Anniversary, we’re especially grateful for members like Rochelle who help carry that legacy forward. 💛

With 20 years of Rotary membership, Kelly-Anne has experienced how networking can grow into a true community built on friendship, service, and shared purpose.

At the Rotary Club of South East Nassau, she has been a member for 7 years and served twice as Fundraising Director, supporting fundraising efforts and helping advance the club’s Community Service initiatives.

Her Rotary journey has also brought special recognition, including the Rose Award and Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) from the Montreal Lakeshore Rotary Club.

A special part of Kelly-Anne’s story belongs to the late Peter Goudie, who invited her to become a member after her very first lunch meeting with the Rotary Club of South East Nassau. On her drive home that very same day, Kelly-Anne accepted his invitation to become a Rotarian.

One lunch. One invitation. One decision that became 7 years of membership at the Rotary Club of South East Nassau and a 20 year journey in Rotary. 💙

Today we celebrate a truly dedicated Rotarian! Dagni has always been someone who shows up bringing a bright smile and a fresh idea to every meeting and event she’s part of. As a Past Director of our club, her leadership left a lasting mark, and her library renovation project two years ago remains one of the jewels of RCSEN’s community impact. That project continues to be a shining example of what vision and dedication can accomplish. 💛

We’re so grateful for everything Dagni has poured into this club and the community we serve. Wishing her a birthday filled with joy, laughter, and all the good things she so freely gives to others! 🥳🎈

33 Years. One Purpose. A Lifetime of Service.

What inspires someone to remain committed to Rotary for more than three decades?

For Frank McGwier, the answer is found in a life dedicated to Service Above Self.

A 33-year Rotarian and Past President, Frank is also the Founder of the Rotaract Club South East Nassau Centennial, has served the Rotary movement as a District leader in various capacities and championed Bahamas Rotary Disaster Relief .

But there’s more to Frank’s Rotary story than titles and years of service.

His journey is a powerful reminder that Rotary is more than a membership. It is about people, purpose, leadership, friendship, and creating meaningful change that lasts far beyond a single project or presidency.
