It was busy week for your *favorite* district! 😉

Last Wednesday, Southwest 1 had the pleasure of listening to two dynamic speakers: ASP. F. Lightbourne and J. Roberts, who came to the enlighten our students on “Youth and Crime” - with extra focus on bullying and how to use social media responsibly! 👏🏾🔥

One bag of garbage is too many! 🗣️

However, leave it to Southwest 1 to get it DONE! We spent our morning cleaning up the shores and surrounding areas of South Beach for Yep Bahamas National Community Service Day! 🫡💙

It’s up to us to keep the BEST country in the world looking good! 🇧🇸

We challenge YOU to do something to help your community today!!! 😆

It really does take a village to raise a child! 🙏🏾

Southwest 1 showed the importance of parent involvement and embracing the fact that everyone has a voice at our Parent’s Night meeting last Wednesday.

A special thank you to President of the Parent’s Association Dornell Brown (who is also a SW1 mentor) and Amee Wallace (a former SW1 district president) for taking the time to speak to our parents and students about the power of endurance, involvement and unity! 🫂

Southwest 1 thinks (and wears) PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness! 🌸🎀

The students and mentors of Southwest 1 district had a great meeting on Wednesday, listening attentively to several breast cancer survivors that visited to share their stories and strength.

Let’s all continue to pray for their peace and courage as they move forward in life. 💞
