Because of JA, small moments add up.

A student speaks up for the first time.

A team solves a problem together.

A young person starts to see a future they hadn’t imagined.

Take a moment to consider your own “Because of JA…”—and help sustain that impact for someone else.

Every future begins with a strong foundation.

JA Elementary introduces primary school students to essential life concepts—how families, communities, and businesses work—through engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.

These early lessons help build confidence, critical thinking, and an understanding of the world your child is growing into.

Because when children are exposed to the right ideas early, they’re better prepared to make smart decisions later.

What do you believe makes someone ready to be an MDA/MDO Nominee?

Is it the ability to step up when needed, consistently put in the work, support others, or take risks and explore new ideas?

Each of these qualities reflects the growth and development we see in our Achievers every day.

There’s no single answer—we’d love to hear your perspective. Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Because of JA, a student remembers the first time they were asked what they thought . . . and realized their ideas mattered.

For others, it was a mentor who listened. Teammates that built something real. A moment that shifted how they saw themselves.

This week, we’re reflecting on what has happened because of JA.

What’s yours?

And here’s the talent behind the design 👏

Meet Ricardo Ferguson II, a Grade 12 student of Queen’s College and an Achiever in N.O.V.A. (Now Our Victory Awaits).

Ricardo’s work reflects what JA Bahamas is all about—transforming ideas into real outcomes through creativity, discipline, and leadership.

This is more than participation. It’s growth, confidence, and the development of skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Join us in celebrating Ricardo and the incredible talent emerging from the programme.

Junior Achievement Grand Bahama was warmly received at Calvary Bible Church on Sunday, April 26th.

Advisors, Achievers, and the Programme Coordinator joined in worship and received an inspiring message from guest pastor, Pastor Rick Schessler. His sermon, aligned with the church’s April theme, “I Love Soul-Winning,” encouraged the congregation to be intentional in their walk with Christ and in sharing the Gospel.

Members of the church, including Pastor Darrin Rolle, JP, offered prayers for the organization and words of encouragement for our Achievers to fully embrace the opportunities within the Junior Achievement Programme.

The service concluded with a special presentation, as the church honored Ms. Carroll, Programme Coordinator for Grand Bahama, with a certificate of appreciation.
