PARENTS NIGHT & OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE OFFICERS PINNING CEREMONY 2024🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

On Wednesday November 27th,2024, The Youth Empowerment Program’s South One District held its annual Parents night & Pinning Ceremony. The night started and ended on a high note. Our parents were truly impressed and engaged the entire night!
We presented on the topic of Character Building and had an interesting selection of skits based on character development. We believed that may have been the highlight of the night!

Parents were able to get photo opportunities with their kids as they celebrate this milestone and both parents and students left with some refreshing treats!

Like you already know, this is how we do it down at SOUTH 1 🎊🎉🫱🏾‍🫲🏽

🎊CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW SOUTH ONE EXECUTIVE OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 2024 -2025

For The First Time in South 1 History, almost 90% of our executive officers are females with an exception of one male. Under the leadership of a strong young lady, who also captured the title as The Head Girl Of C.V Bethel Senior High School - Shavontae Jones. This speaks volumes in the gender equality arena and we love to see it!

Please help us congratulate this amazing group of young dreamers that are ready to take charge! 🥳

Despite the setbacks caused by the weather, the YEP South 1 District is back on track! On October 16th, 2024, our students engaged in a valuable session on voting, led by our District Manager, Navado Dawkins. They explored the Bahamian Voting System, learned the importance of their vote, and participated in critical thinking exercises that highlighted how decision-making plays a role in their daily lives. The day concluded with our students filling out district voter cards and getting their official voter photos.

Empowering the next generation to shape our future, one vote at a time!
