Stronger Neighborhoods Bahamas is a Bahamian Non-Profit that seeks to foster stronger, equitable and resilient communities through empowerment, preservation of inherent dignity and the creation of economic and social opportunities for our people. Our Vision is to create Stronger Neighborhoods, in which all individuals, communities and people work in collaboration toward the protection and full exp
ression of their human rights; are active participants in the knowledge, wealth and resources of society; and free to achieve their full potential. We believe that social movements, such as Stronger Neighborhoods Bahamas, are built upon individual leadership, strong institutions, and innovative, often high-risk, ideas. The Mission of Stronger Neighborhood Bahamas Foundation is to foster stronger, equitable and resilient Bahamian communities through empowerment, preservation of inherent dignity and the creation of economic and social opportunities that positively shape the lives of our people. We are committed to creating a sense of space and a feeling of connectedness to each other while reducing poverty, protecting human rights, and the environment, facilitating health and wellbeing, preserving arts and culture and eradicating homelessness in the Bahamas. We fulfil our mission by nurturing strong leadership and supporting systemic reforms, as we work to ensure that public, private and community sectors have the necessary information and capacity to create and sustain change. We bring together businesses, government, non-profits, and community leaders to form a network to deliver funding, resources, and expertise to create communities where neighborhoods and families can thrive. We are working alongside our partners at the neighborhood level to tackle the systemic issues that have plagued our communities for decades. Key projects of SNB will include the Archdeacon William E. Thompson Entrepreneurial Training Institute, a Computer Training Center for youth and seniors, After School and Mentorship Programmes.
