YEP CAT ISLAND DAY – A DAY TO REMEMBER - FEATURING PRIME MINISTER, RT. HON. PHILIP DAVIS KC.

Yesterday, was nothing short of powerful

YEP Cat Island Day was well attended and full of purpose, bringing together our amazing YEP students and parents, the Senior Island Administrator, Chief of Police (Cat Island), Heads of Government Departments, Local Government practitioners, Religious Leaders, and special guests from near and far.

Our mission was to build momentum in our young people, to remind them that they can achieve ANY goal in life by staying focused, remaining positive, and embracing excellence as a habit.

And that message was delivered straight from the heart by our Very Special Guest, the Right Honourable Philip Davis, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas πŸ‡§πŸ‡Έ

The Prime Minister truly opened himself up to our students, sharing his personal life journey, where he came from, the limited resources he had growing up, and where he stands today. His message was clear and empowering:
"If I could do it with so little, imagine what YOU can do with so much more".

The students were fully engaged, excited, attentive, and inspired throughout his address.

A proud YEP moment followed as Student Vice President Onijah Nixon officially pinned the Prime Minister and inducted him as a YEP Mentor, presenting him with a mentor shirt and our district designed shirt. He was genuinely pleased and honored to join the YEP mentor family.

The Vote of Thanks was confidently delivered by Student President Corey Turner, representing the strong leadership rising from Cat Island.

Our YEP Cat Island District Manager also shared an overview of the district’s achievements and reaffirmed our unwavering commitment that no child will be left behind, while thanking our dedicated mentors for answering the call to serve.

YEP Day concluded on a high note as we joined the Prime Minister in his Annual Give Back & Family Fun Day, sealing the day with unity, joy, and community spirit.

Cat Island showed up. Our youth were empowered. Excellence was embraced.
