Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Bahamas
We are the newest formal Country Office serving as the official humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist church in The Bahamas, whose sole purpose of existence is to ensure that all live as God intended.
What does that mean? The ADRA Network promotes Justice. Compassion. Love in the 130 country offices "ADRA" is found through projects and programs aimed to improve the lives of the communities in which our projects are found- predominantly focusing on vulnerable groups - children/elderly/women.
Who do we serve? We give- irrespective of ethnicity, political affiliation and religious affiliation.
Within the last decade, hurricanes have become more prevalent and destructive, and the work of ADRA in The Bahamas had focused on the provision of hot meals & grocery items, along with non-food items (NFI) such as tarp and building supplies to persons in affected communities for many years. We are a team, currently serving the Bahamian populace- more specifically the Northern Islands as a result of Hurricane Dorian.
