We are the ladies of the Oh So Soulful Sigma Chi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated that was chartered Nov 9, 2013 by 5 RHOyal ladies!

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was organized on November 12, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, by seven young educators: Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Vivian White Marbury, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Annette Dulin Redford, Bessie Mae Downey Rhoades Martin and Cubena McClure. The group became an incorporated national collegiate sorority on December 30, 1929, when

a charter was granted to Alpha chapter at Butler University. is the only sorority of the four historically African-American sororities which comprise the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) established at a predominantly white campus.

Service was the assignment, and Sigma Chi delivered! 💙💛

This month, we partnered with Kappa Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter to educate youth through Swim 1922, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.’s water safety and drowning prevention initiative. We also proudly supported their annual S***e Out.
