The Pilot Club of Nassau was delighted to host its 2026–2027 Leadership Development Seminar this morning, bringing together our Officers and Appointees for a meaningful morning of learning, fellowship, and preparation for the year ahead.
As we begin this new Pilot year under the leadership of Donna Turnquest, 53rd President of the Pilot Club of Nassau, we are proud to embrace her theme: ‘ United in Service, Stronger in Purpose.”
This theme reminds us that when we work together with a shared commitment to service, we become stronger in our purpose and greater in our impact.
The seminar provided an opportunity for our leadership team to deepen their understanding of their roles, strengthen relationships, and engage in thoughtful discussions that will help guide our Club throughout the coming year.
A heartfelt thank you to our Past President and Leadership Coordinator, Anthia J. Butler, for thoughtfully designing and facilitating today’s seminar under the theme, “Lead with Purpose. Serve with Impact.” Her message challenged each participant to lead with intention, serve with excellence, and recognize the influence each of us has in advancing the mission of Pilot.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Past President and Director Elaine Clare for her inspiring presentation, “Leading Beyond the Title: Lessons in Leadership, Service and Legacy.” Her powerful reflections reminded us that true leadership is defined not by position, but by the lives we impact and the legacy we leave behind.
Special thanks also to Past President and Parliamentarian Debbie L. Tucker Smith for her engaging session, “Robert’s Rules of Order Made Simple,” which equipped our leaders with practical knowledge and renewed confidence in conducting effective and efficient meetings.
One of the highlights of the morning was an open forum and engaging discussion, where participants asked thoughtful questions, exchanged ideas, and learned from one another’s experiences. The spirit of collaboration and fellowship truly reflected the heart of Pilot.
To every Officer and Appointee who dedicated your Saturday morning to investing in your leadership journey, thank you. Your commitment to continuous growth and service strengthens not only our Club, but the communities we proudly serve.
As we move forward into 2026–2027, may we continue to lead with purpose, serve with impact, and remain united in service and stronger in purpose.
Here’s to a year of purposeful leadership, meaningful friendship, and impactful service as we continue to Do More. Care More. Be More.
