Paradise Children's Foundation

Paradise Children's Foundation The Paradise Children’s Foundation (PCF) is a not-for profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Bahamian children in need.

Through philanthropic initiatives, we channel resources to support and benefit local organizations which have as their primary goal, the betterment of children throughout the Bahamas. Founded by residents of Ocean Club Estates on Paradise Island, members of the community saw a growing number of children in need of support, and felt compelled to come together to give back to the people of the Baham

as. On March 24th, 2009, the Government of the Bahamas licensed the Paradise Children’s Foundation as a not-for-profit corporation.The goals and objectives of the Foundation include but are not limited to:

• promoting charitable projects for the general benefit of children residing in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas;
• promoting the education, health and welfare of minors in the Bahamas, who through their social and economic circumstances, are in need of some type of assistance. The Foundation is currently being funded by direct donations and special events. The formal launch of the Foundation took place on February 1st, 2013 through a gala fundraising evening called “Pandora’s Box in Paradise”, held at the Atlantis Resort. Through the kind assistance of a small group of neighbours and friends, the significant generosity of Atlantis and its employees, and the 500 plus guests in attendance, the event proved to be a huge success with over $500,000 in revenue raised. In the future, it is the intention of the PCF to make direct charitable gifts/donations to a broad range of children’s charities in the Bahamas. The PCF supports programs and other child-based non-profits that directly improve the health and well-being of Bahamian Children. In 2013, charities benefiting from Paradise Children’s Foundation include but are not limited to: The Seahorse Institute, Ranfurly Home for Children, Elizabeth Estates Home for Children, Bliney Lane Home for Children, Emergency Children’s Hostel, We the People (Emotional Intelligence Pilot Program), Let’s Swim Bahamas (teaching government school children to swim), and Reach, a summer camp for autistic children. Through your commitment, warmth and generosity, we hope to continue to make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children in years to come. On behalf of the Paradise Children’s Foundation, we thank you for your support, and for helping make our dream of improving the lives of children in the Bahamas a reality.
